I would suggest doing a compression test on it warm up the engine first then make sure the choke is not shut and the throttle is full open to allow air to enter freely. Had another 4020 that also had a power shift with a front end loader. We used this 4020 to clean out our poultry houses and load the litter with.Total for the rebuild was $700 but was still cheaper than buying a reman brake valve, at least according to the local JD dealer anyway. Good News....the original brake valve was rebuildable. It solved the entire problem and it stops great. No more wheel lock up. Your no start problem sounds typical for the closed center hyd system such as 4020 has is having an internal leak causing frt hyd ump to attempt to pump oil while engine crankshaft is being rotated to start engine.
